Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the age of 14. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd gained confidence after this win and won 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents were all defeated during the first round. Ladd returned to WCFC for the purpose of defeating Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous ruling. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen as she beat her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's records as a professional were marred. Ladd rebounded from her loss by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta Fighter Championships 16. She took her next bout against Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission via armbar. Aspen used the superior techniques she learned from wrestling to beat McGill. She ended her fight via an KO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). Aspen was then able to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 in a catchweight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not able make the weight, however Aspen took the victory and defeated Hoy by TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her last bout for the organization. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She outclassed Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round in the second. The next time she fought Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd finished Evinger during the first round and got an outstanding performance bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first match she had in any major role. Both fighters fought an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's third round, lost to Randamie. Her most recent bout for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. It was a unanimous decision against her.
